A custom-made Chinese hongmu (rosewood) table vitrine with five inset panels of attractive beveled glass. Created of traditional mitered mortise and tenoned construction with beautifully finished rounded edges to the casing. An interior hinged plank supports the top when adding or removing objects from its content. Commissioned in the late 1950's on behalf of a collector of archaic jade objects. Measuring 35.25 in. (89.53 cm.) high by 35.25 in. (89.53 cm.) wide by 30.5 in. (77.47 cm.) deep.
